We are looking for a Receptionist to join our team through the INICIAR Internship programme, a true launching pad for anyone looking to build a solid career in hospitality.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in carrying out operational reception tasks, including check-in, check-out, reservation management, and customer service;
- Collaborate in welcoming guests, ensuring a warm and professional service;
- Assist with registering and updating guest information, ensuring smooth communication with other departments;
- Support the posting and verification of charges, as well as the issuing of invoices;
- Assist in compliance with applicable legal and internal procedures;
- Collaborate in complaint handling, escalating issues and following up on their resolution;
- Assist with shift handovers, ensuring relevant information is shared;
- Provide support to the team with operational and administrative tasks;
- Contribute to the organisation and smooth running of the reception area;
- Actively participate in meeting quality and customer service standards.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Eligibility for the IEFP INICIAR Internship (level 4 or 5) – Mandatory;
- Registered as unemployed with the IEFP;
- Hold a Level 4 or 5 NQF (QNQ) qualification;
- Meet one of the programme’s criteria, namely: aged between 18 and 35; over 35 with a qualification obtained in the last 24 months; or a person with a disability/incapacity with level 4, 5, or below;
- Or meet other programme criteria, regardless of age (e.g. single-parent families, among others);
- A genuine passion for public contact and good communication skills;
- Knowledge of English (other languages are a plus);
- Team spirit, proactivity, and attention to detail;
- A willingness to learn, develop, and grow with us.
INTERNSHIP CONDITIONS
- 6-month duration, with continuous close mentoring;
- Internship allowance + meal allowance;
- Real possibility of joining the permanent team after the internship.
