Personalization, authenticity, and sustainability in the heart of Porto
An approach built on personalized guest experiences, innovation, authenticity, and sustainability: this is the vision of Seven O Five, a new hospitality brand launched in 2024 in the Invicta city to offer visitors premium accommodation in Porto, complemented by personalized services and experiences connected to local culture.
A new entry into Porto’s hospitality market
The year 705 marks the inauguration of the world’s first hotel, the Japanese Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan. This historic legacy is a testament to hospitality as a deeply human value.
Seven O Five embraces this historical reference to bridge the past and the present, keeping alive the traditional spirit of welcoming and caring for visitors, while embedding it in a narrative defined by an urban lifestyle, local culture, and a people-centered approach.
Its premium positioning, between upscale and midscale, results in accommodations that combine the quality and comfort of facilities and services with convenience and accessibility. Seven O Five caters to a segment of travellers who value attention to detail and personalized experiences, exceeding midscale standards without reaching upscale pricing.
A growing tourism market
The appeal of Porto and the North region has created fertile ground for new hospitality projects.
In a highly competitive context, Seven O Five emerges to stand out for its quality, accessibility, immersive spaces, and guest-centered approach.
“The appeal of Porto and the North region has created fertile ground for the development of new hospitality projects. But in such a competitive landscape, clients value unique proposals. A705 was born as a project designed to stand out within Porto’s hospitality offer: whether through the quality, accessibility, and atmosphere of our spaces, or through service personalization and a client-focused approach.” — Teresa Martins, General Manager
In addition, according to the National Statistics Institute, in 2023 the North region registered more than 8 million overnight stays (27% above 2019), with over 6.5 million international guests arriving through Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport.
Seven O Five’s expansion plans
In 2024, the brand opened two hotel units in prime areas of Porto.
By 2026, four more units are expected to open in Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia, diversifying the portfolio and reaching 400 available beds.
Seven O Five is led by professionals with extensive experience in international chains and large corporate groups. This team drives the brand’s expansion in a globally recognized destination, as evidenced by the World Travel Awards.
The best of Northern Portuguese hospitality
Seven O Five’s value proposition is rooted in personalization, offering unique and authentic experiences that connect guests with local identity.
Authenticity and personalization
The brand invests in a distinctive narrative, visible in its communication and in the way it welcomes guests. Personalization begins at the moment of booking, creating closeness and a serene experience.
Comfort and quality services
High-quality spaces and carefully designed interiors ensure both comfort and refined aesthetics.
Among the differentiating services are:
- 24-hour reception
- Personal concierge
- Customizable transport
A strategic commitment to sustainability
Seven O Five integrates sustainable practices to minimize environmental impact and benefit the local community. This approach is part of the brand’s global strategy.
Guest-focused experience
The guest is at the center of the Seven O Five journey. From cultural tours to gastronomic experiences and artistic activities, every moment is designed to create an authentic connection with the destination.
Seven O Five: more than a hotel in Porto
Seven O Five positions itself as a new benchmark in premium accommodation in Porto, combining tradition, modernity, and a strong commitment to sustainability.
More than stays, it creates memories and personalized experiences that connect each guest to the essence of the city and the region.
A new vision for modern hospitality
Combining the tradition of hospitality with modern innovation is the main mission of Hotels Seven O Five.
The brand aims to provide unique experiences through timeless and personalized service.
Owned by the Teppe Group, which operates in real estate development and construction, this new hotel management brand was launched earlier this year and already has two accommodation units in the city of Porto.
Inspired by the legacy of the world’s first hotel, founded in Japan in the year 705 and still operating today, Hotels Seven O Five is built on values such as sustainability, comfort, innovation, and authenticity.
The choice of Porto, a city known for its culture and history, serves as the foundation for the brand’s future growth.
The brand’s mission
According to Teresa Martins, General Manager of Hotels Seven O Five, the brand’s goal is to “create unique experiences where every stay is memorable and carefully tailored to each guest.”
Offering a distinctive service and paying close attention to detail are key elements of the brand’s identity.
Sustainability also plays a central role. The company is committed to reducing its environmental impact by integrating eco-friendly practices into its daily operations.
The aim is to create a warm and comfortable atmosphere where guests feel truly at home while enjoying a personalized service that meets their expectations.
Why Porto?
The choice of Porto was no coincidence.
The city’s cultural richness, historical architecture, and vibrant modern life make it the perfect setting for the brand’s first properties.
According to Teresa Martins, “The blend between tradition and modernity reflects exactly the spirit of Seven O Five.”
Expansion and the future of Seven O Five
Hotels Seven O Five aims to open four additional properties between Porto and Vila Nova de Gaia by 2027, offering a total of 400 beds.
“Our growth strategy is guided by sustainability and the delivery of high-quality experiences, always maintaining our identity focused on personalization and customer care,” reinforces Teresa Martins.
By 2027 and 2028, the brand also plans to expand to other prime locations in Portugal and abroad, positioning itself as a leader in redefining modern hospitality standards.
The brand’s first properties
Hotels Seven O Five has already opened two properties in Porto:
- 705 Porto Prime Home
- 705 Porto Prime Apartments
The 705 Porto Prime Home, located on Rua Faria Guimarães, offers a cozy atmosphere with 41 serviced apartments in three typologies: studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units.
Highlights include a multifunctional garden with coworking, lounge, and bar, as well as a paperless 24/7 reception, concierge service, gym, podcast studio, and in-apartment breakfast delivery.
Meanwhile, the 705 Porto Prime Apartments, located near Rua de Santa Catarina, features four one-bedroom apartments with reception available 24 hours upon request, concierge service, and optional breakfast.
The focus is on practicality, comfort, and a personalized guest experience.
Personalization and cultural connection
For Teresa Martins, today’s travelers seek meaningful spaces that offer an authentic connection to the culture and lifestyle of the cities they visit.
“Personalization and closeness to the guest are essential factors of differentiation,” she explains.
At a time when travelers increasingly value human connection, attention to detail, and quality service, Hotels Seven O Five sees great opportunities for growth.
“We are confident that our concept will help strengthen Porto’s hospitality scene by offering something distinctive and with a clear value proposition,” concludes Teresa Martins.
Seven O Five (705), a new hotel brand born within the TEPPE group, officially launches this Wednesday, the 18th, with an event at its first property, the 705 Porto Prime Home. We spoke with Teresa Martins, General Manager of Seven O Five, to explore the vision and challenges behind this emerging brand.
Teresa Martins joined Seven O Five in December 2023, at a crucial moment for the brand’s development. “When I started, our main challenge was bringing the properties to life, finalizing openings, and perfecting design and concept details,” she explains. Seven O Five emerged within the TEPPE group, known for its real estate development and construction expertise. “The group decided to create its own hospitality brand to manage its expansion and build internal know-how,” adds Teresa Martins.
The brand’s first two units, both located in Porto, are already in operation and mark the beginning of Seven O Five’s journey in the Invicta city. “We’re thrilled to have our first two properties up and running. This first step represents the beginning of a project designed to stand out in the hospitality landscape. What truly differentiates our brand are the people and the service, the personalization and creation of experiences from booking to check-out and beyond,” says Teresa.
705 Porto Prime Home & 705 Porto Prime Apartments
Located on Rua Faria Guimarães, 705 Porto Prime Home offers 41 serviced apartments in three typologies: studios, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom units. The property combines the convenience and privacy of a serviced apartment with personalized hospitality, including a 24-hour reception, concierge service, gym, podcast room, and breakfast delivered directly to the apartments. A highlight is its 300 m² garden featuring a coworking area, lounge, and an outdoor bar specializing in signature cocktails and a light menu centered around green tea matcha, a tribute to Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan, the world’s first hotel, established in the year 705.
Nearby, the 705 Porto Prime Apartments, located close to Rua de Santa Catarina, features four one-bedroom apartments with fully equipped kitchens and a range of support services, including online concierge and 24-hour reception upon request. Breakfast is also available on request. Sustainability is one of the brand’s key pillars, with a paperless reception and eco-friendly practices such as towel and linen reuse and waste recycling.

Personalization and Brand Vision
According to Teresa Martins, Seven O Five’s key differentiator lies in personalized service and authentic guest experiences. “We want every detail to be designed to create a unique experience, with a strong connection to local culture,” she says.
The brand plans to expand with four more properties in Greater Porto by 2027, totaling around 400 beds. “We are investing significantly in expansion, aiming to cater to different guest segments,” Teresa explains.
By the end of 2025, the brand will open a four-star hotel with 85 rooms on Rua da Maternidade, near the Super Bock Arena. “It will be an urban hotel aimed at a younger audience, with a strong focus on its central social area featuring a bar and restaurant. We want it to be not only for guests but also for locals, bringing life to this area, which is currently quiet except for events at the Super Bock Arena and Palácio de Cristal.”
Also in 2025, another property is set to open on Rua de Santa Catarina, featuring 24 apartments, a 24-hour reception, pool, and social areas, similar to existing projects, offering guests an experience that goes beyond the apartment or room.
For 2026, two projects are planned: a local accommodation complex with three villas on Rua Anselmo Braancamp, near the city center, and a boutique hotel in Gaia, currently in the design phase. “The boutique hotel will be a space of excellence, developed with a club-style concept, more private and detail-oriented, with exceptional service and guest attention. It will be an accessible yet exclusive space where guests can truly experience and enjoy the essence of 705,” Teresa adds.

International Expansion
According to Teresa Martins, the brand continues to explore new opportunities across Portugal. “Yes, we’re actively seeking opportunities, but we don’t want to lose focus. We’re looking for properties that position themselves as destinations, in places like the Douro, where we’re actively searching, or in Lisbon and the Algarve, the country’s main tourism hubs.”
Seven O Five also has international ambitions. “We’re working toward bringing the brand to major European cities. The name 705 has a global appeal, and our communication is already in English to reflect this international ambition,” says Teresa.
Currently, the brand is attracting strong attention from Portuguese and Spanish markets, its main clientele, while also experiencing growing demand from the UK, France, the US, and Brazil. “We’re seeing a remarkable increase in bookings, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive,” notes Teresa.
With a total investment of €60 million planned through 2027 (including the two operational properties), Seven O Five is investing in both building rehabilitation and new construction. “Each project incorporates a restoration component, ensuring that even new buildings integrate elements that honor local history and culture,” she concludes.
