The first unit of the Porto brand Hotels Seven O Five will promote an artistic corridor for exhibitions with the aim of promoting local culture.
October 18, 2024. One month after its inauguration, 705 Porto Prime Home – the first unit of the Hotels Seven O Five brand – will promote an exhibition area with 14 spaces to exhibit different visual arts.
The unit, located in Faria Guimarães, has a connecting space between the lobby and the garden, designed especially for the exhibition of artistic works. Starting today, October 18, this art corridor will showcase works by local talent.
The first artist to exhibit will be Luís Ferraz, an independent photographer born in Póvoa de Varzim. With a vast portfolio that covers photography in gastronomy, portraits, lifestyle, architecture, design and travel, Luís Ferraz has collaborated with several magazines and newspapers in Portugal and abroad. He lived in Germany for a year, where he published a series of books for the publisher Frechverlag and produced the images for the band’s debut album, Aged Mother. Currently in Portugal, in addition to the editorial component, she has worked with commercial photography for several national and international projects.
Luís Ferraz’s photographic exhibition at 705 Porto Prime Home will have hospitality and gastronomy as its theme, with photographs that portray the faces behind these industries. The author will be present in the space, to present the works, on October 31, between 16:00 and 18:00.
“Art and culture are a central part of the DNA of our cities and the attractiveness of the destination Portugal owes a lot to them. The hotel industry can and should be a cultural ambassador, as it is in a privileged position to connect with people who come to know our country. From day one, we defined that Hotels Seven O Five’s mission would be to provide our guests with a genuine connection with the local culture, allowing them to experience the city and not just stay in it. This space is a contribution of our brand to value local art, providing our guests with an experience of cultural value and, at the same time, providing artists with a platform on which they can exhibit their work”, says Teresa Martins, General Manager of Hotels Seven O Five.
“We invite all the people of Porto and those who are visiting the city to come and see 705 Porto Prime Home and this space, as well as the work of Luís Ferraz”, adds Teresa Martins.
Unit 705 Porto Prime Home has 41 service apartments with three different typologies (studios, T1 and T2), combining the convenience and privacy of a tourist apartment with a personalized and always available service, with a 24-hour reception, concierge service, gym, podcast room and breakfast delivered directly to the apartments.
The unit also has a garden with multifunctional areas, including a coworking space, lounge and a bar with a terrace, in an area of more than 300 m². Also noteworthy is the bar with signature cocktails and light menu, both linked to the culture of matcha green tea – in line with the tribute that the brand makes, in its name and visual identity, to the opening of the first hotel in the world, the Japanese Nishiyama Onsen Keiunkan, in the year 705.
